saving money

How much are you saving?

Frugal Living

Frugal living is more than making ends meet by tightening your belt or deprivation in order to keep your head above water financially.

  • It's about wisely caring for your resources.
  • It's about living happily while living prudently.
  • It's showing foresight and providing carefully for your future.

If your income is sufficient for today, but insufficient to provide for tomorrow (or so you think!), relief is on the way.

I am going to show you how to save money on groceries, increase your buying power, and have more to show for the dollars you spend. Yes, even in these times of inflation and soaring gas prices!

The essence of frugal living is to buy at the right price and have sufficient provisions on hand to meet any need that might arise. It's preparedness with a capital P. Provident living is not deprivation. It's penny-wise good judgment, and it will provide peace in a time when instability is the norm.

Living frugally requires the wise use of your finances even when times are not particularly tough. Especially when times are not tough! The time to be prudent with your money and provide for your future is when you have money. Use wisdom and build up your long-term planning, rainy-day, and emergency funds while you can. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

If you have prepared yourself with the supplies needed to care for yourself in difficult times, setbacks or disasters lose much of their power over you. If you are prepared, you are not at the mercy of your circumstances. This is a very comforting feeling.

If you live providently and prepare practically, you'll find that even bad times can be fairly good times.
